A locomotives assignment to trains [1], [2] in order to provide train schedule fulfilment with optimal resource utilization is considered. Complex technology solutions, like consist (group of linked locomotives) composition-decomposition, train departure delays and locomotive service planning are implemented in the model to improve traction resource usage effectivity. A new approach solution is compared in number with the one obtained previously in [3] without the aforementioned complex detailed technology handling.
