Compared with the cable body, the cable terminal is the weakest place in the whole cable manufacturing process. According to the data of transmission line faults in the past, about 70% of the line faults are caused by the faults of cable accessories, so it is extremely necessary to optimize the design of HVDC cable terminal. In this paper, the distribution of electric field in the terminal of HVDC cable is studied and analyzed, and the corresponding optimization design is carried out. The optimized cable has a higher safety level.
