During the milling process of fiber reinforced plastics (FRP) burrs are often formed on the edges of workpieces when the cutting edge of the tool leaves the material. Burrs on FRP are particularly dangerous because of the thin, sharp fibers that appear almost all along the edge of the workpiece. There are many methods of deburring, such as vibratory finishing, abrasive blasting, heat treatment and many others. The choice of method depends on factors such as, material and size of the part, location of the burr, type of production. The aim of this study is to analyse the influence of brushing process on edge state and effectiveness of deburring after milling of FRP. Brushing has been shown to be an effective method for deburring and rounding the edges of polymer composites.
