As technology advances with each passing day and innovations emerge, Autonomous Systems like Self-Driving or Autonomous Vehicles, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Industrial Robots, Service Robots, and Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships have become integrated parts of human lives and changed shape significantly. So there arises an utmost need to simulate and test these systems on specialized platforms before deploying them in the real world so that they can thrive and function better in the unpredictable consequences of the day-to-day world. This study highlights a range of widely used Simulation Platforms that do the job of training, simulating, and testing these autonomous systems and gives an overall idea of the critical importance of these Simulation Platforms in advancing the safety, reliability, and efficiency of autonomous systems.
