Electrical stresses were severely introduced into power device because of the high efficiency and integration for satellite power supply system. To eliminate the reverse voltage spikes of power rectifier diode, one passive RCD clamp circuit was proposed. In this paper, the oscillation for rectifier diode in transformer secondary side is analyzed based on small signal equivalent circuit’s method, especially in phase-shifted full-bridge converter topology. Two kinds of RCD topological circuits were compared and analyzed, from which a more efficient clamping circuit was adopted. The calculation and selection method of clamping resistance was emphatically introduced. Finally, the converter was built and experiments were preceded. The results prove the correctness and effectiveness using the present method.
