The rapid advancement of technology has led to the emergence of innovative solutions, and one of the most transformative areas is the development of autonomous vehicles. An IoT-based autonomous vehicle refers to a self-driving vehicle that leverages IoT devices and connectivity to interact with the surrounding environment. In this work, our focus lies on crafting a Level 3 Autonomous Vehicle that significantly reduces the need for manual control. Our endeavor hinges on the utilization of ESP32, Time of Flight (ToF) sensors, a motor driver, and a user interface (UI) for direction control. By integrating these cutting-edge technologies, we aim to elevate the precision and efficiency of autonomous vehicle operations, surpassing the capabilities of existing models. This work’s backbone revolves around the ESP32 microcontroller, a powerful platform known for its robust performance. Time of Flight (ToF) sensors come into play, further enhancing the vehicle’s ability to accurately sense its surroundings and make informed decisions. Additionally, the motor driver is seamlessly integrated to facilitate smooth and controlled movement. To ensure user-friendly interaction and control, a responsive UI has been developed. This interface empowers users to dictate the vehicle’s direction through intuitive commands and the accuracy is improved to 95%.
