This research explores how drivers affect both straight-line and lane-change maneuvers. It employs a five-degree-of-freedom bicycle model, incorporating vehicle longitudinal dynamics and wheel dynamics, alongside a single-point preview-based driver model to examine driver behavior. The interaction between vehicle and driver is examined through global characteristics, employing eigenvalue and dissipation energy methods. A bifurcation study with two parameters investigates torque and its distribution, revealing that the vehicle's front-wheel stability is enhanced with a driver, particularly under high torque conditions. Moreover, a three-parameter bifurcation analysis of driver parameters explores their impact on stability across different torque levels for an all-wheel-drive vehicle. Lastly, a study on lane change stability underscores the significance of driver parameters during such maneuvers.
