The influence of external factors on electric vehicle drive motor, drive system and driving analyzed. The simulation model of electric vehicle drive motor system is built based on MATLAB/Simulink simulation platform. Three control modes are used for vehicle starting: constant torque control, constant power control and speed control. In addition, four braking modes are designed for EV. The simulation results verify the correctness and effectiveness of the control strategy for EV drive motor.
