In this paper, for switched reluctance motor, a fault-tolerant control for the air gap eccentricity fault based on hardware optimization and control strategy design is proposed. Firstly, in hardware optimization, based on the analysis of the influence from winding mode on air gap eccentricity fault, the suppression of imbalanced electromagnetic force under the condition of air gap eccentricity fault is achieved using current self-balancing of stator winding parallel structure. Based on the hardware optimization, a fault-tolerant controller based on current adaptive control is designed, for the objective of unbalanced electromagnetic force suppression, the current active control under fault condition is realized. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
