Disclosed are a system for improving starting of a fuel cell vehicle and a control method thereof to enhance the durability of the fuel cell. The system for improving starting of a fuel cell vehicle comprises: a high-voltage battery and fuel cell which are connected to a main bus terminal of the vehicle to provide driving energy; and a controller which determines the potential overlap in the operation voltages of the high-voltage battery and the fuel cell when both are connected to the main bus terminal, changes the operation voltages of the high-voltage battery or the fuel cell when the overlap of the high-voltage battery and the fuel cell is expected, and then connects the high-voltage battery and the fuel cell to the main bus terminal.
차량의 메인버스단에 연결되어 구동에너지를 제공하는 고전압 배터리와 연료전지 및 고전압 배터리와 연료전지가 메인버스단에 연결될 경우 고전압 배터리와 연료전지의 작동전압이 중첩될 가능성을 판단하고, 고전압 배터리와 연료전지의 작동전압 중첩이 예상될 경우 고전압 배터리 또는 연료전지의 작동전압을 변경시킨 후 고전압 배터리와 연료전지를 메인버스단에 연결하는 제어기를 포함하는 연료전지 차량의 시동성 향상시스템 및 그 제어방법이 소개된다.
