The present invention relates to a regenerative braking control apparatus of an electric vehicle and a method thereof. The regenerative braking control apparatus of the electric vehicle of the present invention comprises: a driving motor which generates a power necessary to wheel driving; and a controller electrically connected to the driving motor. The controller detects vehicle data when the vehicle is braking, and determines whether wheel slip of the vehicle occurs based on the vehicle data. In addition, the controller calculates a first regenerative braking amount based on a deceleration and a vehicle model when the wheel slip does not occur, and calculates a second regenerative braking amount based on a maximum road surface utilization rate when the wheel slip occurs. Additionally, the controller controls maximum regenerative braking of the driving motor based on the first regenerative braking amount or the second regenerative braking amount. Provided are the regenerative braking control apparatus of the electric vehicle, which can improve fuel efficiency, and the method thereof.

    본 발명은 전동화 차량의 회생 제동 제어 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 차륜 구동에 필요한 동력을 발생시키는 구동 모터 및 상기 구동 모터와 전기적으로 연결되는 제어기를 포함하고, 상기 제어기는, 차량 제동 시 차량 데이터를 검출하고, 상기 차량 데이터를 기반으로 차량의 휠 슬립 발생 여부를 판단하고, 상기 휠 슬립이 미발생한 경우 감속도 및 차량 모델에 기반하여 제1 회생 제동량을 연산하고, 상기 휠 슬립이 발생한 경우 최대 노면 이용율 기준으로 제2 회생 제동량을 연산하고, 상기 제1 회생 제동량 또는 상기 제2 회생 제동량에 기반하여 상기 구동 모터의 최대 회생 제동을 제어한다.
