The present invention relates to a driving mode control device and a driving mode control method for an electric vehicle, which improve the fuel efficiency and travel distance by using map-based data to use a variable driving mode engagement map according to situations instead of a driving mode engagement map at a fixed vehicle speed, recalculate the fuel efficiency and travel distance achieved by the effect, and display a distance to empty to a user. To this end, the driving mode control device for an electric vehicle comprises a path input unit, a control unit, and a display unit.

    본 발명은 전기자동차의 구동모드 제어장치 및 제어방법에 관한 것으로서, 지도기반 데이터를 이용하여 고정된 차속에서의 구동모드 체결맵이 아닌, 상황에 따른 가변 구동모드 체결맵을 사용하여 연비 및 주행 거리를 향상시키고, 그 효과로 인해 나타나는 연비 및 주행거리를 새로 계산하고, 주행가능거리를 사용자에게 표시하기 위한 구동모드 제어장치 및 제어방법에 관한 것이다.
