The present invention relates to an electric vehicle charger control apparatus and method that enable smooth charging of electric vehicles. The apparatus in a fast-charger identifies the type of vehicle, and if it is not an electric vehicle, generates a movement guidance announcement and an alarm. If an electric vehicle has completed charging but remains parked at a charging spot beyond a specified time, the apparatus recognizes this as charging obstruction and automatically sends report information for enforcement to the authorities so that follow-up measures are taken. According to the present invention, in an electric vehicle charger equipped with an integrated license plate recognition (LPR) system, the apparatus distinguishes the type of vehicle parked at a charging location by recognizing the license plate of the vehicle, and if the identified vehicle is not an electric vehicle, generates a movement guidance announcement and an alarm. Furthermore, when the electric vehicle completes charging but remains parked beyond a specified time, the apparatus recognizes it as charging obstruction and automatically sends report information for enforcement to the relevant authorities, which ensures the smooth charging of electric vehicles.

    급속 충전기에서 자체적으로 차량의 종류를 구분하여 전기차가 아닐 경우 이동 안내 방송 및 경보를 발생하고, 전기차의 충전이 완료된 상태에서 정해진 시간 이내에 출차되지 않으면 충전 방해로 인식하여 단속을 위한 신고 정보를 자동으로 관공서에 전송하여 사후 조치가 이루어지도록 하여 전기차의 충전이 원활히 이루어지도록 한 전기차 충전기 제어장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, 전기차 충전기에서 차량 인식기(LPR)를 일체로 내장한 충전기에서 충전 위치에 주차된 차량의 차량번호 인식을 통해 차량의 종류를 구분하여 전기차가 아닐 경우 이동 안내 방송 및 경보를 발생하고, 전기차의 충전이 완료된 상태에서 정해진 시간 이내에 출차되지 않으면 충전 방해로 인식하여 단속을 위한 신고 정보를 자동으로 관공서에 전송하여, 전기차의 충전이 원활히 이루어지도록 한다.
