A method for estimating a charge state of a battery comprises: a step of setting a charge state initial value and Kalman error covariance initial value; a step of a G parameter estimation value, present current value, and present voltage value of the battery; a step of updating a present charge state value and present Kalman error covariance initial value by inputting the G parameter estimation value, present current value, and present voltage value to an extended Kalman filter; and a step of outputting the present charge state value.
