The present invention relates to a spheroidal graphite cast iron and an engine exhaust system component formed from the same, the spheroidal graphite cast iron comprising, based on the total weight, 2.5 to 3.0 wt% of carbon (C), 4.1 to 5.5 wt% of silicon (Si), 0.8 to 1.0 wt% of manganese (Mn), 21.0 to 25.0 wt% of nickel (Ni), 1.4 to 1.6 wt% of chromium (Cr), 0.03 to 0.10 wt% of magnesium (Mg), and a remainder of iron (Fe) for satisfying 100 wt%, the nickel equivalent Nieq being in the range of 24 to 30. The spheroidal graphite cast iron not only has excellent castability, fluidity, mechanical properties at normal temperature and high temperature, phase stability and heat resistance at different temperatures, but also has excellent cost competitiveness. Thus, the present invention can manufacture in an economical manner engine exhaust system components exposed to exhaust gas of about 810 DEG C or more.
