According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a battery system for a fuel cell vehicle comprises: a high voltage battery supplying operating power to a motor for driving a vehicle; a fuel cell connected to the high voltage battery to supply the power for charging to the high voltage battery; and a monitoring unit connected to each of the high voltage battery and the fuel cell and operated by the power of the high voltage battery to monitor a state of the fuel cell.

    본 발명의 바람직한 실시예에 따른 연료전지 차량용 배터리 시스템은, 차량 구동용 모터에 동작 전원을 공급하는 고전압 배터리, 상기 고전압 배터리에 연결되어 상기 고전압 배터리에 충전용 전원을 공급하는 연료전지, 및 상기 고전압 배터리와 상기 연료전지 각각에 연결되고, 상기 고전압 배터리의 전원으로 동작하여 상기 연료전지의 상태를 모니터링하는 모니터링부를 포함한다.
