Urea water is injected directly into a combustion chamber without shortage of a space for arranging parts. A marine diesel engine (1) includes: a cylinder (16) partitioning the combustion chamber (17); an exhaust valve (18) that is disposed on a cylinder cover (15) partitioning the ceiling surface of the combustion chamber (17) and opens and closes the combustion chamber (17); and a plurality of fuel injection valves (30) disposed on the cylinder cover (15). The plurality of fuel injection valves (30) are arranged to surround the exhaust valve (18) in the circumferential direction of the cylinder (16). All of the plurality of fuel injection valves (30) are configured to inject fuel and urea water in a layered manner.
