The present invention relates to a hybrid vehicle engine diagnosis method. The method includes: a step in which a controller determines a reference inlet cam angle for embodying engine target torque; a step in which the controller determines whether an inlet cam actuator diagnosis condition is satisfied while driving an engine in a state in which the reference inlet cam angle is formed; a step in which the controller determines whether a canister collection amount is less than a predetermined threshold value; a step in which, if the inlet cam actuator diagnosis condition is satisfied and the canister collection amount is less than the threshold value, the controller increases an inlet cam diagnosis count; a step in which the controller determines an inlet cam advance angle and an inlet cam advance period for diagnosing the inlet cam actuator in accordance with the inlet cam diagnosis count; and a step in which the controller conducts a diagnosis while controlling the inlet cam actuator in accordance with the determined inlet cam advance angle and the inlet can advance period. Therefore, the present invention is capable of maximizing the fuel efficiency of a vehicle.

    본 발명은 컨트롤러가 엔진 목표 토크를 구현하기 위한 기준 흡기캠 각도를 결정하는 단계와; 상기 컨트롤러가 상기 기준 흡기캠 각도를 형성한 상태로 엔진을 운전하면서 흡기캠 액츄에이터 진단조건이 충족되는지 판단하는 단계와; 상기 컨트롤러가 캐니스터 포집량이 소정의 임계치 미만인지 판단하는 단계와; 상기 흡기캠 액츄에이터 진단조건이 충족되고 캐니스터 포집량이 상기 임계치 미만인 경우, 상기 컨트롤러가 흡기캠 진단카운트를 증가시키는 단계와; 상기 컨트롤러가 상기 흡기캠 진단카운트에 따라 흡기캠 액츄에이터 진단을 위한 흡기캠 진각 각도 및 진각 기간을 결정하는 단계와; 상기 컨트롤러가 상기 결정된 흡기캠 진각 각도 및 진각 기간에 따라 상기 흡기캠 액츄에이터를 제어하면서 진단을 수행하는 단계를 포함하여 구성된다.
