According to the present invention, an apparatus for measuring an RPM of a marine engine comprises: a plurality of RPM measuring sensors (20) which are disposed adjacent to a drive shaft (15) of the engine, are installed on a plurality of points, and generate signals corresponding to an RPM; and a control means (30) to receive the signals of the RPM measuring sensors (20) to determine a fault using prescribed logic. Accordingly, three sensors are applied to the marine engine to designate a failed sensor if one of the sensors fails and measure an RPM of the engine using the remaining sensors to prevent a sailing delay and an accident risk by engine stoppage.

    본 발명은 선박 엔진의 회전수를 측정하는 장치에 있어서: 상기 엔진의 구동축(15)에 인접하여 복수의 지점에 설치되고, 회전수에 대응한 신호를 생성하는 회전수 측정센서(20); 및 상기 회전수 측정센서(20)의 신호를 입력하여 설정된 로직으로 고장을 판단하는 제어수단(30);을 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 한다. 이에 따라, 선박 엔진에 세 개의 센서를 적용하여 하나의 센서가 고장난 경우 고장난 센서를 지정하여 주고 나머지 센서로 엔진 회전수를 측정하여 엔진 정지에 의한 운항지연과 사고위험을 방지하는 효과가 있다.
