The present invention relates to an electric propulsion apparatus for a ship, which comprises: a first inverter and a second inverter converting an input signal to a signal needed to drive a motor; a six-phase motor driven in accordance with the output of the first inverter and the second inverter; and a propeller rotated in accordance with the drive of the six-phase motor. Therefore, the electric propulsion apparatus for a ship can create the same effect of using two three-phase motors by using a single six-phase motor.

    선박의 전기 추진 장치에 관한 것으로, 입력 신호를 모터 구동에 필요한 신호로 변환하는 제 1 인버터 및 제 2 인버터; 상기 제 1 인버터 및 제 2 인버터의 출력에 따라 구동되는 6상 모터; 및 상기 6상 모터의 구동에 따라 회전하는 프로펠러를 포함하는 구성을 마련하여, 하나의 6상 모터를 사용하여 2개의 3상 모터를 사용하는 것과 동일할 효과를 낼 수 있다는 효과가 얻어진다.
