According to an embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for reducing ship bottom resistance comprises: a thermoelectric power generating unit generating power using waste heat generated in an engine of a ship; a first compressor compressing an air using power generated in the thermoelectric power generating unit; an air tank storing the air compressed in the first compressor; an injector receiving at least one among the compressed air generated in the first compressor and the compressed air stored in the air tank to inject the compressed air to the ship bottom to reduce frictional resistance of a hull and seawater; and a control unit determining a transfer path of the air compressed in the first compressor in accordance with an amount of the electric power generated in the thermoelectric power generating unit.

    본 발명의 실시예에 따른 선저저항 감소장치는, 선박의 기관에서 발생되는 폐열을 이용하여 전력을 생성하는 열전발전부, 상기 열전발전부에서 생성된 전력을 이용하여 공기를 압축하는 제1압축기, 상기 제1압축기에서 압축된 공기를 저장하는 에어탱크, 상기 제1압축기에서 생성된 압축공기 및 상기 에어탱크에 저장된 압축공기 중 적어도 어느 하나를 공급받아 선체와 해수의 마찰저항을 줄이기 위하여 선저를 향해 상기 압축공기를 분사하는 분사기 및 상기 열전발전부에서 생성되는 전력량에 따라, 상기 제1압축기에서 압축된 공기의 이송경로를 결정하는 제어부를 포함한다.
