The present invention relates to a container ship having a multi-stage cargo hold. The container ship having a multi-stage cargo hold comprises: a first cargo hold; a plurality of rotary support units rotationally installed on a transverse wall of the first cargo hold, wherein containers of at least one more stages are stacked in an upper end; and an extension partition extended from an external wall of a hull to a height of the container of which one stage to three stages are stacked in the upper end of the rotary support unit to form a second cargo hold. Therefore, the container ship having a multi-stage cargo hold overcomes a limitation that extends a width of the container ship or a length of the container ship to improve an existing load amount and extends a depth of the cargo hold inside the hull in order to improve the longitudinal strength of the hull and to allow loading of additional cargos.
