Disclosed is a method for controlling a current rate (C-rate) by using preheating during quick charging of a battery. The method comprises the steps of: (a) measuring different charging start temperatures of cells included in a plurality of batteries before quick charging; (b) rapidly charging the cells of the plurality of batteries at the charging start temperatures at a predetermined C-rate; (c) deriving charging start temperatures at which the optimal performance of the cells of the batteries is exhibited at the predetermined C-rate and a predetermined discharge rate; and (d) deriving optimal C-rate and discharge rates according to the charging start temperatures. Therefore, the method can quickly charge the batteries under optimal C-rate conditions according to the charging start temperatures, thereby reducing the occurrence of battery degradation or dendrite generation.

    배터리의 급속 충전을 수행하기 위한 충전율 제어방법을 개시한다. 상기 배터리의 충전율 제어방법은 (a) 급속 충전하기 전에 복수개의 배터리에 포함된 셀의 서로 다른 충전 시작 온도를 각각 측정하는 단계; (b) 복수개의 상기 배터리의 셀을 소정의 충전율(Current rate, C-rate)로 상기 충전 시작 온도에서 급속 충전하는 단계; (c) 소정의 상기 충방전률에서 배터리의 셀의 최적의 성능을 보이는 충전 시작 온도를 도출하는 단계; 및 (d) 상기 충전 시작 온도에 따른 최적의 충방전률을 도출하는 단계;를 포함하고, 충전 시작 온도에 따른 최적의 충전율 조건에서 배터리를 급속 충전 함으로써 상기 배터리의 열화 발생 또는 덴드라이트 발생을 저감시킬 수 있다.
