The present invention relates to a method and a device for charging a battery for a mild hybrid vehicle. A method for charging a battery for a mild hybrid vehicle according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a step of comparing state of charge (SOC) of a battery with a first reference value when a first contact of an ignition switch is selected; a step of displaying a chargeable condition of the battery through a display device when the SOC of the battery is lower than the first reference value; a step of, when a second contact of the ignition switch is selected, determining whether a charging execution condition of the battery is satisfied; and a step of, when the charging execution condition is satisfied, charging the battery by operating a mild hybrid starter and generator (MHSG) in a power generation mode. Accordingly, the present invention is able to charge a battery when it is determined that SOC of a battery is deteriorated when a mild hybrid vehicle is initially driven.

    본 발명은 마일드 하이브리드 차량용 배터리 충전 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 마일드 하이브리드 차량용 배터리 충전 방법은, 이그니션 스위치의 제1 접점이 선택되면, 배터리의 SOC를 제1 기준값과 비교하는 단계; 상기 배터리의 SOC가 상기 제1 기준값 미만이면, 표시 장치를 통해 배터리의 충전 가능 조건을 표시하는 단계; 상기 이그니션 스위치의 제2 접점이 선택되면, 배터리의 충전 실행 조건이 만족되는지 판단하는 단계; 및 상기 배터리의 충전 실행 조건이 만족되면, MHSG(mild hybrid starter & generator)를 발전 모드로 작동시켜 상기 배터리를 충전시키는 단계;를 포함할 수 있다.
