The present invention relates to a high strength spring steel having excellent corrosion resistance which has improved tensile strength and fatigue life to be usable for suspension. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the high strength spring steel having excellent corrosion resistance and used for suspension of a vehicle comprises: 0.4-0.9 wt% of C; 1.3-2.3 wt% of Si; 0.5-1.2 wt% of Mn; 0.6-1.2 wt% of Cr; 0.1-0.5 wt% of Mo; 0.05-0.8 wt% of Ni; 0.05-0.5 wt% of V; 0.05-0.5 wt% of Nb; 0.05-0.3 wt% of Ti; 0.001-0.01 wt% of B; 0.01-0.52 wt% of W; 0.3 wt% or less of Cu (exclusive of 0 wt%); 0.4 wt% or less of Al (exclusive of 0 wt%); 0.03 wt% or less of N (exclusive of 0 wt%); 0.003 wt% or less of O (exclusive of 0 wt%); and the remaining consisting of Fe and other inevitable impurities.
