본 발명의 과제는, 발진시, 제2 체결 요소의 발열 요인인 제3 주행 모드로의 절환 빈도를 저감시킴으로써, 제2 체결 요소의 내구 신뢰성을 확보할 수 있는 하이브리드 차량의 제어 장치를 제공하는 것이다. 엔진(Eng)과, 모터/제너레이터(MG)와, 엔진(Eng)과 모터/제너레이터(MG)의 사이에 개재 장착된 제1 클러치(CL1)와, 모터/제너레이터(MG)와 구동륜(RL, RR)의 사이에 개재 장착된 제2 클러치(CL2)와, 제1 클러치(CL1)를 해방하는「EV 주행 모드」와, 제1 클러치(CL1)와 제2 클러치(CL2)를 체결하는「HEV 주행 모드」와, 제2 클러치(CL2)를 슬립 체결하는「WSC 주행 모드」를 주행 상태에 따라서 절환하는 모드 선택부(200)와, 제2 클러치(CL2)의 온도를 검지하는 제2 클러치 온도 센서(18)와, 제2 클러치(CL2)의 온도가 소정치 이상일 때에는, 주행 모드에 관계없이 엔진(Eng)을 작동 상태로 해 두는 제2 클러치 보호 제어 수단(도 5)을 구비하였다.

    A control apparatus of hybrid vehicle has a drive mode change section (200), a temperature detection section (18) detecting a second engagement element (CL2) temperature, and a second engagement element protection control section. The drive mode change section (200) changes drive modes of a first drive mode in which a first engagement element (CL1) is disengaged and the second engagement element (CL2) is engaged then the vehicle travels by only a driving force of a motor (MG), a second drive mode in which the first and second engagement elements (CL1, CL2) are respectively engaged then the vehicle travels by both driving forces of the engine (ENG) and motor (MG), and a third drive mode in which the second engagement element (CL2) is slip-engaged then the vehicle travels by a driving force transmitted through the second engagement element (CL2). The second engagement element protection control section keeps the engine (ENG) rotating state regardless of the drive mode when the second engagement element (CL2) temperature is high.
