The present invention relates to a system and a method for determining whether a driven vehicle changes a driving lane and estimating a driving lane of a vehicle. Left and right lines closest to a driven vehicle are recognized, a variation value of a lateral distance between the vehicle and the recognized line is calculated at a predetermined time interval, and it is estimated that a change in lane occurs when the calculated variation value is larger than a threshold value. In addition, it is estimated that a change in lane occurs in the direction in which the lateral distance between the vehicle and the line is decreased in a section before the time point of detecting the change in lane. According to the present invention, only the adjacent line of the vehicle is recognized, it is possible to confirm whether the driving lane of the vehicle is changed and to confirm the lane change direction in accordance with the change in the lateral distance between the vehicle and the line, and it is possible to easily and accurately estimate the driving lane of the vehicle.

    본 발명은 주행중인 차량이 주행차로를 변경하는지 여부를 감지하고 차량의 주행차로를 추정하는 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, 주행중인 차량과 가장 근접한 좌우측 차선을 인식하고 차량과 인식된 차선 사이의 횡방향거리의 변화량을 일정 시간 간격으로 계산하며 계산된 변화량이 임계값보다 큰 경우에는 차로변경이 발생한 것으로 추정한다. 또한, 차로변경이 감지된 시점 이전의 구간에서 차량과 차선 사이의 횡방향거리가 감소한 방향으로 차로변경이 이루어진 것으로 추정한다. 따라서 본 발명에 따르면, 차량의 인접 차선만을 인식하고 차량과 차선 사이의 횡방향거리의 변화에 따라 차량의 주행차로 변경 여부, 차로변경 방향을 확인할 수 있도록 함으로써, 차량의 주행차로를 용이하고 정확하게 추정할 수 있도록 한다.
