The present invention relates to an electronic motorized modular brake system based on an electric signal, which comprises: a brake electronic control unit installed on a railway vehicle to output a brake signal when a brake command signal is entered from a vehicle signal unit; a brake operating unit (BOU) to output an electrical control signal for braking of the railway vehicle when the brake signal is entered from the brake electronic control unit; and a modular brake unit to perform braking in an electrically motorized method when the electrical control signal is entered from the brake operating unit. The present invention can have a compatibility with a conventional pneumatic brake system, perform braking by using an electric motor according to an electrical control signal, reduce the idle running time and the braking distance, and improve the rate of stopping at the right position during braking of the railway vehicle.

    본 발명은 전기신호에 기초한 전기모터식 모듈형 제동 시스템에 관한 것으로; 철도차량에 설치되어 차량신호장치로부터 제동지령신호가 입력되면 제동신호를 출력하는 제동전자제어장치와; 상기 제동전자제어장치로부터 상기 제동신호가 입력되면 철도차량의 제동을 위한 전기적인 제어신호를 출력하는 제동작용장치(BOU)와, 상기 제동작용장치로부터 전기적인 제어신호가 입력되면 전기모터 방식으로 제동을 수행하는 모듈형 제동장치로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명에 따르면 기존 공압식 제동시스템과 호환성을 가지면서 전기적인 제어신호에 따라 전기모터를 이용한 제동을 수행하여 공주시간을 단축시켜 제동거리를 줄일 수 있음은 물론 철도차량의 제동시 정위치정차율을 향상시키는 효과가 있다.
