To provide a charge and discharge controller making it possible to effectively charge a battery with regenerative electric power in an electric vehicle which is externally chargeable, and contribute to a reduction in driving cost due to mitigation of an external charge quantity.SOLUTION: A charge and discharge controller (charge ECU 10) includes an altitude acquisition unit 10a that acquires an altitude of a travel position in the event that an electric vehicle 12 having a battery pack 18 (battery) which is externally chargeable moves from a first point P1 to a second point P2, an electricity quantity calculation unit 10b that calculates an electricity quantity of the battery pack 18 to be used to move from the first point P1 to the second point P2 exhibiting a high altitude, a regenerative quantity calculation unit 10c that designates charge and discharge efficiencies (α and β) of the battery pack 18 on the basis of the electricity quantity, and acquires a regenerative electricity quantity capable of regenerating in the event that the electric vehicle moves from the second point P2 to the first point P1, and a charge quantity control unit 10d that, when the electric vehicle is externally charged at the second point P2, designates a charge upper limit value for external charge by subtracting the regenerative electricity quantity from the electricity quantity with which the battery pack 18 is chargeable.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】外部充電可能な電動車両において、回生電力を効果的にバッテリに充電可能とし、かつ外部充電量の軽減による運転コストの低減に寄与できる、充放電制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】充放電制御装置(充電ECU10)は、外部充電可能な電池パック18(バッテリ)を備えた電動車両12が第1の地点P1から第2の地点P2に移動する際に走行位置の高度を取得する高度取得部10aと、第1の地点P1から高度の高い第2の地点P2に移動する際に使用する電池パック18の電気量を算出する電気量算出部10bと、電気量に基づき電池パック18の充放電効率(α、β)を設定し、第2の地点P2から第1の地点P1に移動する際に回生可能な回生電力量を取得する回生量算出部10cと、第2の地点P2で外部充電を行う際に、電池パック18に充電可能な電力量から回生電力量を減算して、外部充電時の充電上限値を設定する充電量制御部10dと、を備える。【選択図】図2
