When the train 10 approaches the level crossing device 30, a center device temporarily turns power from off to on for a level crossing safety device 31 of the level crossing device 30, bringing it from an inactive state to an active state. After the train 10 passes by the level crossing device 30 in the active state, the level crossing safety device 31 of the level crossing device 30 is returned to its original inactive state. 【課題】列車の通過時にのみ、地上装置を一時的に稼働させる省電力型運行管理システムを提供する。【解決手段】省電力型運行管理システムは、軌道を走行する列車と、各列車10及び踏切装置30の運行管理を行う管理センタと、軌道上に配置される踏切装置30とを備えている。センタ装置は踏切装置30に列車10が接近すると、この踏切装置30の踏切保安装置31に対して一時的に電源をオフからオンにして、非稼働状態から稼働状態にし、列車10が稼働状態の踏切装置30を通過後に、踏切装置30の踏切保安装置31を元の非稼働状態に戻す。これらの処理を列車が目的地に到着するまで繰り返して行う。【選択図】図3
