To evaluate road surface profiles efficiently with good accuracy.SOLUTION: A road surface evaluation device 10 comprises: an information acquisition unit 111 that acquires travel information on a plurality of vehicles and map information including information on a road which the plurality of vehicles have traveled; an evaluation unit 112 that calculates a roughness index indicating the roughness of a road surface corresponding to a prescribed period on the basis of the travel information on the plurality of vehicles having traveled the road in a prescribed period acquired by the information acquisition unit 111; and an output unit 113 that outputs roughness information including the roughness value in association with the road information. When the evaluation unit 112 calculates a roughness index corresponding to a change of roughness value corresponding to a second prescribed period after the first prescribed period, and when it estimates that a change rate of roughness value corresponding to the second prescribed period with respect to the roughness value corresponding to the first prescribed period exceeds a prescribed threshold, the information acquisition unit 111 acquires many more travel information to be used for calculation of a roughness value corresponding to the second prescribed period than when it is estimated that the change rate is smaller than or equal to the prescribed threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】路面プロファイルを効率的かつ精度よく評価する。【解決手段】路面評価装置10は、複数の車両の走行情報と、複数の車両が走行した道路の情報を含む地図情報とを取得する情報取得部111と、情報取得部111により取得された、道路を所定期間に走行した複数の車両の走行情報に基づいて、所定期間に対応した道路の路面の粗さを示す粗さ値を算出する評価部112と、粗さ値を含む粗さ情報を道路の情報に対応付けて出力する出力部113と、を備える。情報取得部111は、評価部112が第1所定期間よりも後の第2所定期間に対応した粗さ値を算出するとき、第1所定期間に対応した粗さ値に対する第2所定期間に対応した粗さ値の変化率が所定閾値を上回ると推定するとき、変化率が所定閾値以下であると推定したときよりも、第2所定期間に対応した粗さ値の算出に用いる走行情報を多く取得する。【選択図】図4
