To provide a superimposed structure member for an automobile body which suppresses a breakage of a joined portion of components during cold press molding, and which improves the intimate contact between the components after the molding.SOLUTION: In a superimposed structure member for an automobile body formed by joining a first component and a second component with each other with the first component and the second component being overlapped on each other, the first component being formed by cold press molding from a first blank made of a sheet metal, the second component being formed by cold press molding together with the first component from a second blank made of a sheet metal partially joined with the first blank in a state laid over thereon, a combination between the strength grade of the first blank and the thickness thereof, and, the strength grade of the second blank and the thickness thereof is selected in such a way that the first component and the second component are intimately in contact with each other with respective spring-back portions of such components from the cold press molding being in a free state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
