To provide a tire abrasion detection device which can detect that a right side or a left side of a surface of a tire is greatly worn.SOLUTION: A tire abrasion detection device disclosed herein stores an abrasion degree function that derives an abrasion degree of a tire with a steering angle of a tire and a vehicle speed as a variable and executes the following processing in each prescribed time. The tire abrasion detection device acquires the steering angle of the tire and the vehicle speed, integrates the abrasion degree derived by using the abrasion degree function as a forward movement abrasion degree when the acquired steering angle belongs to a prescribed forward movement range, and integrates the abrasion degree derived by using the abrasion degree function as a right (left) turning abrasion degree when the acquired steering angle belongs to a prescribed right (left) turning range. The tire abrasion detection device outputs information indicating that one side of the tire is worn when a total abrasion degree obtained by totaling the forward movement abrasion degree, the right turning abrasion degree and the left turning abrasion degree exceeds a prescribed total abrasion degree threshold and a ratio of the right (left) turning abrasion degree to the total abrasion degree exceeds a prescribed turning abrasion degree threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】タイヤの表面の右側あるいは左側が著しく摩耗したことを検知することのできるタイヤ摩耗検知装置を提供する。【解決手段】本明細書が開示するタイヤ摩耗検知装置は、タイヤの舵角と車速を変数としてタイヤの摩耗度を導出する摩耗度関数を記憶しており、所定時間ごとに次の処理を実行する。タイヤ摩耗検知装置は、タイヤの舵角と車速を取得する。取得した舵角が所定の直進範囲に属している場合は摩耗度関数を用いて導出した摩耗度を直進摩耗度として積算する。取得した舵角が所定の右(左)旋回範囲に属している場合は摩耗度関数を用いて導出した摩耗度を右(左)旋回摩耗度として積算する。タイヤ摩耗検知装置は、直進摩耗度と右旋回摩耗度と左旋回摩耗度を合計した全摩耗度が所定の全摩耗度閾値を超え、かつ、全摩耗度に対する右(または左)旋回摩耗度の割合が所定の旋回摩耗度閾値を超えた場合に、タイヤの片側が摩耗したことを示す情報を出力する。【選択図】図3
