To perform a collision performance evaluation test in a deformation mode for crushing a cross section of an evaluation member that corresponds to an automobile structure component and has a hollow cross section extending in a longitudinal direction by a simple method.SOLUTION: When performing a collision performance evaluation test of an evaluation member that corresponds to an automobile structure component and has a hollow cross section extending in a longitudinal direction, the evaluation member is clamped so as to crush a cross section of the evaluation member by a support part for supporting the evaluation member along a longitudinal direction by abutting on the evaluation member along the longitudinal direction of the evaluation member and a punch that travels in an intersecting direction of the longitudinal direction of the evaluation member and inputs a load into the evaluation member, and at least a part of the support part exists in a region in which a contact region of the punch in the evaluation member extends in a traveling direction of the punch.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
