To allow a remote ship operator to understand in advance that there is a risk that remote maneuvering cannot be performed.SOLUTION: A remote maneuvering system comprises a ship and an input device. The ship comprises: an actuator with functions to generate a ship propulsion and to make the ship generate moment; an operation part; a ship control device; a ship position detecting part; and a communication part. The input device comprises a communication part, a position detecting part of the input device, the operation part, and a notification part. The ship control device has a normal maneuvering mode and a remote maneuvering mode. A communication part of the ship receives information indicating a position of the input device from the input device during the remote maneuvering mode. The ship control device calculates a distance between the input device and the ship. The communication part of the ship transmits information indicating that the distance between the input device and the ship becomes a threshold or more to the input device when the distance between the input device and the ship becomes the threshold or more. The notification part performs notification to a remote ship operator using the input device. The threshold is less than the maximum value of the distance between the ship and the input device capable of communicating with the communication part of the input device and the communication part of the ship.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
