A relative deviation amount calculation unit 54 calculates a relative deviation amount expressing a degree of the deviation of the air resistance reduction region ARnw in the windless state related to the preceding vehicle 3 in a relative coordinate system with the action of the wind speed and wind direction on the own vehicle 1 on the basis of the information about the vehicle speed Vs of the own vehicle, the wind speed and wind direction acting on the own vehicle 1. A correction unit 55 performs correction of reconstructing an air resistance reduction region ARww in the relative coordinate system by applying the relative deviation amount calculated by the relative deviation amount calculation unit 54 to the air resistance reduction region ARnw in the windless state related to the preceding vehicle 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A

    【課題】自然風の吹く環境下で追従走行制御を行う場合であっても、自車に作用する空気抵抗に係る情報を正確に提示する。【解決手段】追従走行支援装置11では、抽出部53は、先行車3に係る車体形状の情報と空力関係情報とに基づいて、先行車3に関する無風状態での空気抵抗低減領域ARnwを抽出する。相対ずれ量算出部54は、自車の車速Vs、自車1に作用する風速及び風向きの情報に基づいて、当該風速及び風向きが自車1に作用することで先行車3に関する無風状態での空気抵抗低減領域ARnwが相対座標系においてどれだけずれるかを表す相対ずれ量を算出する。補正部55は、先行車3に関する無風状態での空気抵抗低減領域ARnwに対し、相対ずれ量算出部54により算出した相対ずれ量を適用することにより相対座標系において空気抵抗低減領域ARwwを再構成する補正を行う。【選択図】図1A
