To provide a vehicle length detector that can accurately detect whether or not a vehicle length is equal to or more than a threshold value, regardless of an installation environment of the vehicle length detector.SOLUTION: A vehicle length detector includes: a first time acquisition unit that acquires a first time indicating a time when a vehicle has passed an approach detection position based on a vehicle detection signal indicating whether or not the vehicle is present at the approach detection position in a lane; a second time acquisition unit that acquires a second time indicating a time when the vehicle has reached a vehicle length determination position based on a vehicle length detection signal indicating whether or not the vehicle is present at the vehicle length determination position downstream in a vehicle travel direction from the approach detection position; an offset processing unit that offsets the second time by an offset amount corresponding to an installation environment of the vehicle length detector; and a determination unit that determines that the vehicle length is equal to or more than a threshold value when the second time after offsetting is earlier than the first time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
