PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which is capable of sufficiently securing estimation accuracy of a vehicle length of a specific vehicle having predetermined features and suppresses the cost required for constructing a system.SOLUTION: In a vehicle length estimation device 1, a vehicle group dividing part 11a acquires detection data of a vehicle at a detection point detected by a vehicle detection sensor 5, and divides vehicles passing the detection points into vehicle groups. A specific vehicle extraction part 11b extracts a specific vehicle having predetermined features from among the vehicle groups divided by the vehicle group dividing part 11a, based on the acquired detection data of vehicles. A vehicle length estimation part 11 then uses detection data of a non-specific vehicle that does not have the predetermined features, to estimate a vehicle length of the specific vehicle that is extracted by the specific vehicle extraction part 11b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】予め定めた特徴を有する特定車両の車長の推定精度を十分に確保でき、且つシステムの構築にかかるコストを抑える技術を提供する。【解決手段】車長推定装置1は、車両群分割部11aが車両検知センサ5で検知した検知ポイントにおける車両の検知データを取得し、検知ポイントを通過した車両を車両群に分割する。また、特定車両抽出部11bが、取得した車両の検知データに基づき、予め定めた特徴を有する特定車両を、車両群分割部11aが分割した車両群から抽出する。そして、車長推定部11cが、特定車両抽出部11bが抽出した特定車両の車長を、予め定めた特徴を有しない非特定車両の検知データを用いて推定する。【選択図】図4
