To provide a position detection system and a position detection method that can enhance the detection accuracy of unauthorized communication.SOLUTION: A first measuring unit 18a has radio waves transmitted in the order of a first communication apparatus 10 → a second communication apparatus 11 → the first communication apparatus 10, and measures a measurement value Dx related to propagation of the radio waves of first communication. A second measuring unit 18b has radio waves transmitted in the order of the second communication apparatus 11 → the first communication apparatus 10 → the second communication apparatus 11, and measures a measurement value Dx related to propagation of the radio waves of second communication. A correctness determination unit 20 determines whether the positional relationship between the first communication apparatus 10 and the second communication apparatus 11 is correct based on the measurement value Dx measured by the first communication and the measurement value Dx measured by the second communication.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
