To provide a technology for appropriately detecting whether or not abnormality such as breakage of a crossing bar occurs without newly providing detection means.SOLUTION: A breakage detection device of a crossing bar moves between an open position allowing the passage in a railway crossing and a close position prohibiting the entering inside the railway crossing and detects the breakage of the crossing bar decorated in a stripe form in which a first color and a second color different from the first color are alternately arranged in its own axial direction. The breakage detection device includes an acquisition unit acquiring a first waveform showing a change in color components of the first color in the axial direction of the crossing bar and a second waveform showing a change in color components of the second color from an image including the crossing bar, an arithmetic unit integrating differential values of each of the first waveform and the second waveform, and a determination unit determining the presence/absence of the breakage of the crossing bar from the integrated result. The determination unit determines that the crossing bar is broken when a position in which the integrated value obtained by integrating the differential values of the first waveform and the second waveform becomes 0 continues for a fixed length within a range of the whole length in the axial direction of the crossing bar.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】新たに検知手段を設けることなく、遮断桿の折損などの異常が発生しているか否かを適切に検知する技術を提供する。【解決手段】本発明は、踏切内を通行可能な開き位置と、踏切内への進入を禁止する閉じ位置との間で移動するとともに、第1色及び第1色とは異なる第2色とが自身の軸方向に交互に配列された縞模様により装飾される遮断桿の折損を検出する遮断桿の折損検出装置において、遮断桿を含む画像から、遮断桿の軸方向における第1色の色成分の変化を示す第1波形と、第2色の色成分の変化を示す第2波形と、を取得する取得部と、第1波形及び第2波形のそれぞれの微分値を積算する演算部と、積算した結果から遮断桿の折損の有無を判定する判定部と、を有し、判定部は、遮断桿の軸方向における全長の範囲内で、第1波形及び第2波形の微分値を積算した積算値が0となる部位が一定の長さ連続するときに、遮断桿が折損していると判定する。【選択図】図2
