To improve correlativity between bench test and sensory evaluation in actual vehicle evaluation.SOLUTION: In a tire evaluation method, a tire X to be evaluated is subjected to bench testing, respective transient response data on lateral force Fy acting on a tire rotation shaft 12a and on moment Mz around a vertical shaft at the time when changing a slip angle SA in the tire X to be evaluated are measured; a first delay time T1 which is a delay time of the lateral force Fy with respect to the slip angle SA is calculated and a second delay time T2 which is a delay time of the moment Mz around the vertical shaft with respect to the slip angle SA is calculated; a third delay time T3 which is a delay time of the lateral force Fy with respect to the moment Mz around the vertical shaft is calculated on the basis of the first delay time T1 and the second delay time T2; and the tire X to be evaluated is evaluated on the basis of a third delay time T3F of a front wheel calculated under a front wheel rolling condition and a first delay time T1R of a rear wheel calculated under a rear wheel rolling condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9

    【課題】台上試験と実車評価における官能評価との相関性を向上させる。【解決手段】タイヤ評価方法は、被評価タイヤXを台上試験に供試して、被評価タイヤXにスリップ角SAを変化させたときのタイヤ回転軸12aに作用する横力Fy及び鉛直軸回りのモーメントMzそれぞれの過渡応答データを計測し、スリップ角SAに対する横力Fyの遅れ時間である第1遅れ時間T1を算出し、前記スリップ角SAに対する鉛直軸回りのモーメントMzの遅れ時間である第2遅れ時間T2を算出し、第1遅れ時間T1と前記第2遅れ時間T2とに基づいて、鉛直軸回りのモーメントMzに対する横力Fyの遅れ時間である第3遅れ時間T3を算出し、前輪転動条件で算出された前輪第3遅れ時間T3Fと、後輪転動条件で算出された後輪第1遅れ時間T1Rとに基づいて被評価タイヤXを評価する。【選択図】図9
