To predict the condition of each road surface in detail to assist driving operation according to the road surface condition, thereby providing appropriate vehicle control assistance.SOLUTION: A road surface information provision device is provided, comprising: an information acquisition unit configured to acquire vehicle information at least from vehicles that have detected wheel spin on their wheels while traveling, among a plurality of traveling vehicles, and weather information on the surroundings of the vehicles; a road surface condition prediction unit configured to generate road surface information obtained by predicting the road surface condition in a given area including the surroundings of the vehicles on the basis of the vehicle information and the weather information; a risk map generation unit configured to generate a risk map associating the road surface information with map information; and a transmission unit for transmitting the risk map to vehicles traveling in the given area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
