To provide a sound absorption structure capable of attenuating a sound pressure peak and of exhibiting excellent sound absorption effect.SOLUTION: A sound absorption structure includes a box-shaped member 11 having an opening and a lid member 12 arranged to block the opening. A secondary air chamber space surrounded with the box-shaped member 11 and the lid member 12 is formed on an inner side of the box-shaped member 11. A communication hole 14 with a diameter of 2 mm or less is formed on a face 13 opposite the opening of the box-shaped member 11 so that the inner side and an outer side of the box-shaped member 11 communicate with each other. The box-shaped member 11 is made of a cellulosic fiber material, and bending rigidity of the lid member 12 is 5.0 to 150 Nm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
