To provide a supporting structure for a sliding member that can sufficiently reduce sliding resistance of a receiving surface of a receiving member, and can enhance weather resistance.SOLUTION: In a supporting structure 1A for a sliding member, a thrust load of the sliding member (coil spring 3) is received by a receiving surface 4a of a receiving member 4A. An annular first thrust sheet 11 in contact with the sliding member, and an annular second thrust sheet 12 in contact with the receiving surface are interposed between the sliding member and the receiving member. The first thrust sheet is formed of polyacetal resin. The second thrust sheet is formed of fluororesin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
