To safely decelerate an automobile by a passenger in a situation where a driver cannot drive or in such a situation.SOLUTION: A control method for an automobile includes: a first declaration step of decelerating the automobile at a first deceleration by means of a brake mechanism when an ON operation of a parking brake switch (EPB switch 2) is detected; a second deceleration step of decelerating the automobile at a second deceleration smaller than the first deceleration by means of the brake mechanism when the ON operation of the parking brake switch is not detected and a determination is made that a driver cannot drive; and a third deceleration step of decelerating the automobile at a third deceleration smaller than the first deceleration by means of the brake mechanism when a determination is made that an ON operation of an SOS switch 3 is performed, a change of the parking brake switch from the ON operation to an OFF operation is detected, and a determination is not made that the driver cannot drive.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】ドライバー運転不能状態時等に同乗者により自動車を安全に減速させる。【解決手段】自動車の制御方法は、駐車ブレーキスイッチ(EPBスイッチ2)のオン操作を検出した場合に、制動機構を用いて自動車を第1減速度で減速させる第1減速工程、駐車ブレーキスイッチのオン操作を検出せず、ドライバーが運転不能と判定した場合に、制動機構を用いて自動車を第1減速度より小さい第2減速度で減速させる第2減速工程、及び、SOSスイッチ3がオン操作されたと判定し、駐車ブレーキスイッチがオン操作からオフ操作に変化したことを検出し、ドライバーが運転不能であると判定していない場合に、制動機構を用いて自動車を第1減速度より小さい第3減速度で減速させる第3減速工程、を有する。【選択図】図6
