To set an inversion position of wiper blades by using an overrun prevention rotation stop mechanism which is not used at a normal operation.SOLUTION: A wiper device 1 has a wiper blade overrun prevention wiper operation regulation mechanism 50, and wiper control devices 10a, 10b perform the learning setting of the inversion position of the wiper blades by using a protrusion 55a of the wiper operation regulation mechanism 50 and a stopper 54a. In learning processing, a motor is operated up until the protrusion 55a interferes with the stopper 54a (S2→S6→S8), and after that, the abutment and the separation of the protrusion and the stopper are repeated up until the protrusion 55a does not abut on the stopper 54a (S7→S1→S2 and so on) while reducing an inversion target angle (S7). Then, when the protrusion 55a does not likely abut on the stopper 54a, the upper inversion position U is set on the basis of the inversion target angle at that time (S8→S10).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】通常動作時は使用していないオーバーラン防止用の回転止め機構を活用してワイパブレードの反転位置設定を行う。【解決手段】ワイパ装置1は、ワイパブレードのオーバーラン防止用のワイパ動作規制機構50を有し、ワイパ制御装置10a,10bは、ワイパ動作規制機構50の突起55aとストッパ54aを利用してワイパブレードの反転位置の学習設定を行う。学習処理では、突起55aがストッパ54aと干渉するまでモータを動作させ(S2→S6→S8)、その後、反転目標角度を減少させつつ(S7)、突起55aがストッパ54aが当接しなくなるまで両者の当接および離反を繰り返す(S7→S1→S2以下)。そして、突起55aがストッパ54aと当接しなくなったとき学習処理を完了し(S8→S10)、そのときの反転目標角度に基づいて上反転位置Uを設定する。【選択図】図3
