To provide an ultrasonic wave oscillator 10 which achieves expansion of a detection range while inhibiting increase of costs.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic wave oscillator 10 is used to detect unauthorized intrusion to a vehicle cabin and includes: a vibrator 12 which can radiate ultrasonic waves; a housing 11 which houses and holds the vibrator 12 and opens in an ultrasonic wave radiation direction of the vibrator 12; and a cover member 13 which closes the opening of the housing 11. The cover member 13 includes: throat parts 132 which are open along the ultrasonic wave radiation direction so as to allow the interior and the exterior of the housing 11 to communicate with each other; and an oval groove part 133 which is provided in parallel with the throat parts 132 and extends in the ultrasonic wave radiation direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
