To provide an overload detection circuit capable of detecting whether there is an overload and its level with simple constitution.SOLUTION: An overload detecting circuit 10 connected between a high potential-side input terminal 21 and a low potential-side input terminal 22 of an electric circuit (inverter circuit) 20 at least comprises: a Zener diode ZD which has its cathode connected to the high potential-side input terminal; a capacitor C connected to the anode of the Zener diode and the low potential-side input terminal; and a plurality of resistances R1, R2 and R3 connected between the anode of the Zener diode and the low potential-side input terminal in parallel with the capacitor, respectively.
