To provide an approach detection device which detects an approach of a movable body that is not permitted to enter an approach inhibited area.SOLUTION: An approach detection device 30 comprises extracting means 60, grouping means 70 and determining means 80. The extracting means extracts second reflecting points R2 which are monitored objects, from first reflecting points R1 of an electromagnetic wave emitted to a monitored region MA containing a line closing unstarted section that is an example of an approach inhibited area, using at least a first threshold value about a travel speed and a second threshold value about a reflecting intensity. The grouping means divides the second reflecting points R2 extracted by the extracting means 60 into one or more groups. The determining means determines whether or not a working vehicle V that is an example of not permitted movable bodies, enters the line closing unstarted section, based on a distribution state of the second reflecting points R2 belonging to the same group in the second reflecting points R2, in the monitored region MA.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10A
