To increase the amplitude angle of a mirror part per unit voltage in an optical deflector.SOLUTION: The present optical deflector has a stationary part, a movable part that has a reflection surface, a connection part that connects the movable part with the stationary part, and a driving part that deforms the connection part to oscillate the movable part. The connection part has the driving part on a first surface. The connection part has ribs on a second surface that is the opposite surface to the first surface. The ribs each include a portion having a direction orthogonal to a bending direction of the connection part as a longitudinal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
